How to Choose an Online Accounting School
I’ve often considered how appealing an online accounting degree might be. I love to work with numbers, and sometimes the rational, ordered coherence of columns and columns of figures seems much more captivating than the crazy workplace atmosphere into which I walk every day. There are several online accounting schools that offer an accounting degree on line. The real problem is, choosing which one would be best for me.
One of the most important things about distance schools is their accreditation. I don’t want to get a degree from an unaccredited school that churns out diplomas that are worth less than the tree pulp on which they’re printed. All of the distance degree programs on this site are accredited, however, so that’s one detail I won’t have to worry about.
I also want to make sure that the university offers the types of accounting degrees I need. For example, if I already have a Bachelor’s Degree, I will probably want to go on and get a Masters in Accounting. No point in taking my education a step backward; I want to keep moving upward. I also enjoy the ease and flexibility of contacting an online degree university and letting them get back to me with information. I don’t work normal hours, and so my free time is more flexible but much more variable than most people’s.
