Tomorrow is the day for the big interview for which you’ve been waiting. You prepared your resume carefully, and paid special attention to the job requirements listed by your prospective employer. Only one question remains: will your distance learning degree help - or hinder your job prospects.
That really depends on how you present your degree. A few key tips can help make the difference between a successful interview and a disastrous explanation of your distance degree program. One factor that will be critical to your success, however, is graduating from an accredited online university degree program.
If the program isn’t accredited, you aren’t going to be able to convince your boss that your degree is valid. Worse, it could make your chances of getting the job decrease significantly. Employers simply aren’t looking for workers who buy a degree or pay money to an unaccredited online degree university to try to advance their careers.
Stress the hard work, motivation, and energy that you’ve invested in your degree program. Explain to your interviewer how you stayed at home to study or worked on your classes while your friends went to social events. Corporations are looking for dedicated professionals who are willing to make sacrificies just like these.
If you can, provide evidence of the online college degree program’s accreditation and good standing with the Department of Education. Show your potential employer that you are willing to go the extra mile to earn his (or her) approval. Now, relax, and get ready for your interview!

Recently, statistics were released showing that 50% of the people in the United States earn an average salaray of less than 32,000 yearly. This means that people who earn more than $32,000 each year are in the top half of wage-earners in the United States. People who earn more than $64,000 rank in the top 24 percent. But how much does having a college degree really help them reach this goal?
The answer will surprise you. In fact, the average starting salary for a college graduate in any degree program, from any accredited university, is more than $30,000. Understanding this, it’s easy to see how much a university degree program can affect a person’s income.
Furthermore, on average, college graduates earn $60,000 a year. Therefore, a sizable percentage of college graduates earn incomes at or nearly at the top 25% of earned incomes in the United States. Clearly, financial security is directly related to a person’s ability to earn a college degree.
Whether you choose to attend an online degree university, or opt instead for a traditional college degree program, this research makes the importance of a university degree very clear. In today’s economy, you just can’t afford not to get a degree. Don’t make a mistake - choose your degree program today!

You and all your friends are out of the starting gate. High school is over, and it’s time to get your college degree. Who will graduate first? Who will attend university longest? Who will make the most money?
After graduation, many college freshmen see college as a race to get the career of their choice, and to make the most money as quickly as possible. They enroll in a college degree program and choose a major long before they know what they want to do for the rest of their lives. Many end up changing majors multiple times, and some get discouraged and quit altogether.
Choosing a major is difficult, and depends on a variety of factors. One way to avoid the problem is to stay away from choosing a major too soon. Concentrate instead on completing core classes or general studies requirements, such as English, Psychology, and Sociology. If you know you are definitely not going to major in mathematics, don’t take the higher level math courses unless you really enjoy the subject.
If you have completed all the core courses and still aren’t sure, consider taking a year off from your studies to work, study abroad, or join the Peace Corps. Take some online degree courses to keep your study skills sharp. You may find that you really enjoy attending an online degree university and and find your niche in the major that interests you most.
It’s your future, and you will never have those college years again after you graduate and begin raising a family, so take the time to experience all those things you really want and need to do. Earning a college degree isn’t a race - it’s one of the most important times in your life!

I was very surprised when I first learned how many fake college degree programs are preying on people who want to get a distance degree. In fact, when I began to look around at all the university programs advertising on the internet, I began to wonder how anyone could tell whether the degreees were real or whether they were products of disreputable diploma mills. I became curious about how a future student could tell a scam from the genuine article.
So I started doing a little bit of research on my own. I started looking at the online programs that were offered to students, and visiting online degree university’s websites. I quickly learned a few things about separating fact from fiction when it caming to earning a distance education degree.
First, if a university promises to grant a degree within an amazingly short time frame, don’t be fooled. If you are trying to get something for nothing, you are probably going to end up with nothing instead. So don’t trust the programs that tell you you can complete a PhD online program in less than a year even if you don’t already have a Bachelor Degree. It just isn’t going to happen.
Second, if you have never heard of the type of diploma being offered, it probably isn’t real. Don’t fall for a scheme that promises you a degree in holistic law practice - because there is no such degree. And don’t try to earn a college degree at home without taking taking a number of online degree courses.
Finally, websites such as Thecollegedegrees.com offer reliable information about top online schools. Don’t be misled by another scam artist who wants your money. Ripley once said that “There’s a sucker born every minute.” Don’t let it be you. Make sure the college is regionally accredited and has a good reputation before you send them money or apply.

I’ve often considered how appealing an online accounting degree might be. I love to work with numbers, and sometimes the rational, ordered coherence of columns and columns of figures seems much more captivating than the crazy workplace atmosphere into which I walk every day. There are several online accounting schools that offer an accounting degree on line. The real problem is, choosing which one would be best for me.
One of the most important things about distance schools is their accreditation. I don’t want to get a degree from an unaccredited school that churns out diplomas that are worth less than the tree pulp on which they’re printed. All of the distance degree programs on this site are accredited, however, so that’s one detail I won’t have to worry about.
I also want to make sure that the university offers the types of accounting degrees I need. For example, if I already have a Bachelor’s Degree, I will probably want to go on and get a Masters in Accounting. No point in taking my education a step backward; I want to keep moving upward. This site, www.thecollegedegrees.com, is helpful because a person can search for the program by school or by degree, which is very helpful when one is trying to compare the different programs available.
I also enjoy the ease and flexibility of contacting an online degree university and letting them get back to me with information. I don’t work normal hours, and so my free time is more flexible but much more variable than most people’s. As a matter of fact, that is one of the most appealing things to me about distance learning online. What’s your opinion?

I was reading the other day that graphic designers will have the most job opportunities of any design profession in the next six years. I’ve always been interested in graphic design and what it might take to get a degree in this field. It made me wonder about how difficult it would be to get a graphic online design degree. I decided to investigate to try to find the best online degree university to obtain an online graphic design degree.
I did a web search and found 21 online universities that offer graphic design programs. Fourteen of them offer a Bachelor’s Degree online and five even offer an online Master’s Degree program. I had no idea that there were so many universities out there offering an online degree or that they would have graduate degree programs.
I was surprised to find that all of these were very reputable and accredited universities. Some I had heard of before and others were new. I learned that an online degree takes about the same amount of time to earn as does going through the traditional college class work. What I like is that I can work at my own pace, control my class and study hours. Also, I am not limited to where or how far I can travel. I can do some real distance learning by attending an online school anywhere in the country.
I also learned that I’m not limited to a graphic design degree. There are literally hundreds of distance learning and online degree programs available. It’s working for me. If there’s something you always wanted to learn about, it’s possible now online. Check it out and see if it works for you.
